Your first call takes only a few minutes to set up. Here is the whole way, step by step.

Before you call

  1. Create your account if you have not yet.
  2. Top up your wallet. Open the wallet on the website and pay with UPI. Your wallet holds your talk time.
  3. Make sure you have enough balance. You need at least 2 minutes at that host’s rate. For a ₹5 a minute host, keep ₹10. For a ₹20 a minute host, keep ₹40.

Pick a host and check the price

  1. Choose a mood, a language and “online now”. See Find someone to talk to.
  2. Open a profile. Read the topics the host agreed to.
  3. Check the price per minute. It is shown before you call.

Tap call

Tap the call button. Then wait. Here is what happens and what you will hear:

  1. The host’s phone rings first. The host says yes or no.
  2. If the host says yes, your phone rings. Pick up.
  3. You hear a short safety notice. Both people hear it.
  4. Then you are joined, and you can talk.

Your number stays private. See How does a call work?.

If the host says no or does not answer in 10 seconds, you pay ₹0. Pick another host.

First-call tips

  • Keep your phone with you and not on silent. You must pick up when it rings.
  • Be in a quiet place. The voice will be clearer.
  • Say hello and say what you need. For example: “I have an exam tomorrow and I feel tense.”
  • Start with a short call. You can always call again.
  • Do not share private details. Skip your full name, address, workplace, social media and bank details.
  • Remember the exit. You can hang up at any second. Press # to end the call and block the person if something feels wrong.

After the call

Rate the host. Your wallet history shows the date, time and amount. If you liked the host, tap the heart to save them. Learn more in Favourites and calling again.
