Common questions

Will the other person see my number?

No. Calls are connected through a masked bridge. Neither person sees the other's personal phone number. Do not share it during the call.

Are calls recorded?

The planned call service gives both people a spoken recording notice before connection. Recordings may be checked by automated safety tools and reviewed by trained staff when needed. The final retention period will be published before calls launch. Read recording & consent.

Is this therapy or counselling?

No. Hello Fraands is for conversation and company. It is not therapy, counselling or a crisis service.

Who are the hosts?

Hosts are adults who choose to offer conversation in their selected moods and languages. They must complete video KYC and Aadhaar verification before hosting.

Are hosts doctors or lawyers?

Hosts must not present themselves here as doctors, lawyers, counsellors, CAs or financial advisors. Nothing on a call is professional advice.

Is this a dating service?

No. Sexual or suggestive talk, exchanging contact details and arranging meetings are not allowed.

Do I have to be 18?

Yes. Both callers and hosts must be 18 or older. See the age policy.

How do I pay?

Top up your prepaid talk-time wallet using UPI. Calls are billed by the minute at the shown rate. See wallet terms.

Can I get a refund?

There should be no call charge before connection, including when a host declines or the bridge fails. For connected calls and unused wallet balance, see the refund policy. You can dispute a charge with the call ID.

What happens if a call drops or fails?

There should be no call charge if the host declines or the bridge never connects. If a connected call drops or a charge looks wrong, check your call and wallet history and report it with the call ID so it can be reviewed under the refund policy.

How do I report someone?

The planned host keypad control # ends a call and blocks and reports the caller; * just ends it. You can also use the report form. Include the profile name, call ID and what happened. A report is reviewed before any strike is confirmed.

How do I block someone?

Use the block control on their profile or in your call history when available. If you cannot find it, report the person and ask for help preventing further contact.

Who can enter the women-only space?

At launch, only signed-in callers and hosts whose gender verification is F or T should see and use this space. The public preview describes it for everyone; live listings and calls are planned to be hidden from other accounts. Read about the women-only space.

How can I become a host?

Start at Join & earn. You need your own phone number, video KYC and Aadhaar verification. Read the host rules before applying.

How do I delete my account?

See data deletion for the available request route and any records we must retain. The current preview has no live calling account dashboard.

What if my wallet runs out?

The planned call service gives a warning about 60 seconds before balance runs out, then ends the call when the balance is exhausted. Top up again before starting another call.

Can I make a call in the preview?

No. The current preview contains illustrative profiles. Calls and payments are unavailable in the preview.
